At the beginning of the year I recorded the Bach solo suites 1-5 on the baroque cello. Here I show you one of the most beautiful sarabands. This music is a “Klangrede”, a speech with sounds. Grandeur and seriousness. Or as Johann Mattheson said about 300 years ago: “Ehrsucht, Grandezza und Ernsthafftigkeit.” Many thanks to Karola Parry and Ruth Günther for the productive collaboration.
