What an intense journey! After a long time of preparation, I recorded the Bach solo suites 1-5 on the baroque cello. I am grateful that the baroque violinist and scholar Thomas Pietsch led me into this wonderful „Klangrede“ with its special rhetoric, its ornamentation, the inegal playing and so many other aspects. In five recording days sound engineer Karola Parry was by my side with her unmistakable ear and her fine musical understanding.
